Stone Story
I am on a journey from destination A to destination B. I am on a mission to find the perfect stone along the way and supposedly to find the ideal one before I reach point B.
I come across stones of all shapes and sizes but not a single one captures my mind so far. I am still waiting for the perfect one, the one that my heart desires. But it is nowhere to be found.
To wait or not to wait? Choices can be odious. I hate making decisions, yet I complain when I am left with no choice.

Time seems to be running out. What if I am fated never to find the perfect stone?
My friend who told me this analogy of life posed this question, “Why not grab on something while you are searching for the perfect one? Why not ride on a mule to look for the horse?”
I sighed. I believe I should not put the Lord my God to the test. There might not be any perfect stone, but the choice I make and how I make use of the stone will determine its preciousness.
I started off the journey with impatience; I was literally pushing my way through. However, God’s way is not my way; God does not play my game.

In the midst of searching, it is time for purging, a time for listening, a time for learning, and a time for discerning. With belt around my waist, sandals on my feet, and staff in my hand, I will wait.
