Balakong

I was trying to explain to the Indonesian lady who served me at my favourite lunching restaurant of my missing-in-action for the past few days. I told her I was away at customer’s place in Balakong.

Puzzled, she replied by throwing another question, “Belakang mana?”

  2. Yes, that was a joke... Too bad you could not catch what I was trying to say.

By the way, that is my usual lunching shop. They serve GOOD tiew chew rice. :)

  3. Haha, you really drop me a comment. Thought you were joking. Hope you are not forced to do so.

By the way, tiew chew is something like hakka, hokkein, cantonese... Something tribal... :>

  5. Haha, drumstick Mary?

Yes, I guess your spelling is more common... I myself am not sure of the correct spelling for this.

Since you have pointed that out, I wikied and found that Teochew is also known as Chaozhou, and variably spelled Teochiu, Tiuchiu, Tiochiu or Diojiu...

    Complicated right?

By the way, thanks for dropping by... :>

  7. Oh you have tried Teochew porridge! Substituting the porridge with white rice or yam rice, you will get Teochew rice.

Good Teochew porridge in SS2? From this can tell you are a food hunter.

So far things are going on well for me. Just a bit busy with work... Hope things are smooth sailing on your side as well. :)

  13. Haha, nice stalker? Only time can tell.

As for cooking, I prefer to do simple and quick cooking, i.e. steaming and boiling. Easy in the sense that you just throw everything in and bring the food to steam or boil.

Steaming & boiling are the easiest, fastest and the healthiest way of preparing your food; maybe you further explore on that. :>

By the way, who knows you are being humble?

  14. steaming and boiling.. agree is the healthiest, easiest and fastest.. but maybe not the tastiest.. kekekkeke
